Back To It (8/29/2007)
Ok, after a couple of week lay-off for vacation, getting back to it.... The current issue is removing the 6 flywheel bolts. They have a very shallow head that allows a normal 3/4" socket to slide off, so I bought a new socket and am going to get it ground down to get rid of the beveled edge that all sockets have. The next challenge was to get the flywheel to hold still while I turn the bolts! After eyeballing it a bit, I came up with the following 'tool' -

It's held in place by one of the clutch bolts and an awl stuck through the angle iron into another hole. I could not use 2 clutch bolts as the holes are sightly offset.... I was able to loosen 2 of the bolts immediately upon installation of this tool, so that's good. Now to get the socket ground down so I can at those other 4....
